Hello!
I’m Stephanie, the owner of PEMF Pets and People, a subsidiary of Horse and Hound Massage & Bodyworks. Currently I reside in Iredell County, NC with my family, two horses, two dogs and a cat. After having grown up on the coast of North Carolina, I moved inland in 2004 as I share a love for both the water and the mountains. Other than my love for helping animals, I also enjoy being active in the local 4-H community with my daughter, traveling, boating, fishing, camping and other outdoor activities with friends and family.
While PEMF Pets and People provides more services than just PEMF and focuses more on just the equine industry, I have been within that specific industry for over 48 years having shown my first horse at the age of six years old. For many years I have also been an active member, and showing, on the NCQHA and Tarheel Horsemans Association.
When living on the coast of NC I had a small farm with my show horse and wanted to find him a friend for the pasture. I found and purchased an 18-year-old horse that had bad colic in hopes that I could help rehab him and give him a peaceful retirement. I worked closely through this process with a top veterinarian on the east coast and learned extensive knowledge about equine nutrition in helping my older horse have that peaceful retirement.
After moving inland in 2004 I continued to show at local shows until my show horse was diagnosed with Kissing Spine Disease in 2006. This diagnosis had me once again learning about another aspect of Equine care and anatomy to help alleviate his pain and regain his health. Through both journeys my passion grew to understanding healing and my current path that I am on now began. Thanks to a local veterinarian, I was able to work and rehab my gelding to soundness.
In 2016, I once again had a small farm where I started rehab equine education. There I boarded older horses that had difficulty maintaining weight, for a variety of reasons, and others for injury rehabilitation. From that, I now have my current education and certifications which is just the start of my journey to constantly learn.
As of today, along with my therapies and knowledge of Equine, K9 and livestock, I’ve also expanded my education and certifications to focus on human PEMF and Kinesiology which I find fascinating and look forward to working with! Along with my office hours for human therapies, you can also find me out and about at various shows, either showing my current horses with my daughter, or available to help you with your horse on site.
